Associated with The Rawls Group since 2003, Woody is a specialized business succession advisor to closely held businesses. Prior to his role at The Rawls Group, Woody served for 20 years in various capacities at Brenton Bank of Iowa, a family controlled company before its sale to Wells Fargo. His roles included Bank President, Chief Commercial Banking Officer, and President of Brenton Mortgages. He provided leadership for significant growth in assets, liabilities, profitability, and cost containment, as well as, devoted significant time to the needs and issues of family and closely held businesses.

Woody also spent five years in New York City at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. and Marine Midland Bank. He earned his BA from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and a MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago. He also participated in the Master’s program of Johns Hopkins School of International Studies in Washington D.C. During his entire career, Woody has served on the boards of numerous business and philanthropic organizations in a variety of roles, including finance chair, fundraising, and strategic planning.
